Mark LovshinThe Board of Health oversees the work of the Health Unit and is committed to providing quality public health programs and services. The Board is accountable to the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, the Ministry of Children and Youth Services, and its member municipalities for ensuring Board governance and Health Unit management. The Board includes municipal councillors from Northumberland County, Haliburton County and the City of Kawartha Lakes, as well as local citizens appointed by the provincial government. The Board of Health meets monthly to provide governance and input, ensure programs and services meet provincial mandates and community needs, and approve Health Unit spending.
