Rights of Breastfeeding Mothers

Breastfeeding mothers have the right to breastfeed their babies anywhere, anytime according the Ontario Human Rights Commissionbreastfeeding friendly logo

No one should stop a mother from breastfeeding in public. If someone asks you to cover up, move or leave, tell them it is your right to breastfeed in public. Breastfeeding mothers also have the right to be supported when they return to work, according to the Ontario Human Rights Commission.

To file a formal complaint, contact the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.
