Nutrition - One to Two Months of Age

Newborn babies have very small stomachs and need to eat often.

  • Breastfed babies tend to have fewer trips to the doctor.

  • Growth spurts occur when baby is three weeks and six weeks of age.  Baby will be hungrier and need to feed more often which will increase your milk supply.

  • All infants need Vitamin D. Breastfed babies need 400IU of Vitamin D supplements daily. Formula companies add Vitamin D during manufacturing.

  • Call the Health Unit for support with feeding your baby.
