Oral Health

The Oral Health staff at the Health Unit promote healthy oral health for people of all ages. The staff assess the teeth of students attending local schools, identify schools in which the risk of tooth decay is greatest and work with the school and parents to improve the oral health of the children.

Oral Health staff work with community partners to advocate for reduced barriers to oral care for local residents and help provide dental care for children and youth whose families cannot afford dental care.
