Planned IT Outage Affects Health Unit Services During Easter Weekend

Residents are being advised that, due to planned maintenance of the IT system, staff from the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit will be unable to respond to emails between 6 pm Thursday, April 17 and 6 am Tuesday, April 22, 2014.

In addition, the Health Unit’s voicemail may be affected periodically during this time period.

Members of the public may not be able to contact the Health Unit through the organization’s main business line. In the event of an emergency, residents are asked to call the after-hours line at 1-888-255-7839 and ask to speak with the HKPR staff person on call.

Emergencies would include reportable disease reports, cold chain breaks, outbreak notifications, chemical spills, animal bites, food or water-borne outbreaks, contamination of public drinking water and natural disasters.

The HKPR District Health Unit apologizes for this disruption and appreciates your patience during this IT outage.
