“Bookface is a fun event for local youth that recognizes their involvement in the community, helping them to feel valued, connected and celebrated in Kawartha Lakes,” says Fyffe Hunting, a Public Health Worker with the HKPR District Health Unit, who works with stay bright UNLIT members. “Whether it is recreation, drama, sports, dance, civic engagement, art, volunteerism or leadership, young people are involved every day in meaningful activities. National Youth Week is a time to honour their commitment.”
