Area residents who want a sure sign of a healthy dining experience need to look no further than restaurants displaying the Eat Smart! logo.

Eat Smart! is Ontario's Healthy Restaurant Program. Look for the distinctive Eat Smart! logo at a restaurant near you. It shows the restaurant meets or surpasses criteria that includes:

Offering healthier food choices on the menu and by customer request.
Having an excellent track record in food safety with the Health Unit and has at least one certified safe food handler on staff.
Being a 100 per cent smoke-free environment that does not sell cigarettes.

Locally, you have many Eat Smart! restaurants to choose from in 2009/2010. Whatever your taste, whet your appetite for healthy eating by choosing an Eat Smart! restaurant in your community.
