Car Seat Safety: Make the Right Call

Car Seat Infants

If you have questions about the proper installation of a child car seat, help is now just a phone call away.

If you live in Haliburton County, Northumberland County or the City of Kawartha Lakes, you can now call the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit toll-free at 1-866-888-4577, ext. 210.

When calling, you are asked to provide your car seat safety questions and contact information. A certified children’s restraint system technician with the Health Unit will then call you back to provide advice and answers.

If necessary, the technician can also schedule an appointment for you at an upcoming car seat safety clinic in your community. There, a technician will inspect that your child’s car seat is safely installed and provide face-to-face instructions on its proper use.
