Update on Local COVID-19 Outbreaks

The local public health unit today is providing an update on the COVID-19 outbreaks in its area.

The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit is working with the following facilities currently in outbreak:

  • Kawartha Lakes Retirement Residence – Bobcaygeon, Ontario – This outbreak was declared on May 12 after one staff person tested positive for COVID-19.
  • Maplewood Nursing Home – Brighton, Ontario – This outbreak was declared on May 4 after one resident tested positive for COVID-19.
  • Caressant Care Mary – Lindsay, Ontario – This outbreak was declared on May 4 after one resident tested positive for COVID-19.

 

The Health Unit has declared the following outbreak over:

  • Pinecrest Nursing Home – Bobcaygeon, Ontario – This outbreak was declared over on May 14. It has been in outbreak since March 18.
