Dietitian Support

The HKPR District Health Unit offers practical resources, information, and training to support you to make healthy and safe food choices. Registered Dietitian's are here to provide you with easy access to essential resources and professional support for embracing healthy eating.

Healthy Eating

Food is a big part of our lives, eating a variety of foods safely can help your body get the nutrients it needs. Many things influence our food choices, including affordability, food safety practices, local sourcing, culture, traditions, and health considerations such as allergies and medical conditions.

To support your journey towards healthier eating habits, we offer resources on Canada’s Food Guide, tips for safe food handling, and guidance on accessing the expertise of a Registered Dietitian. Explore the resources to enhance your understanding and help you make healthy choices.

Canada's Food Guide (CFG) gives us guidance for eating! The CFG uses the most up-to-date science and translates it to guide and support you and your family with your food and nutrition goals. CFG is available in many languages including ones for some Inuit and First Nations peoples.
