PORT HOPE, ON (February 9, 2024) - The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge, District Health Unit (HKPR District Health Unit) would like to advise media and the community of an upcoming Board of Health meeting scheduled for Thursday, February 15, at 9:30 a.m.

The Board of Health meeting will be held in-person at HKPR District Health Unit – Port Hope located at 200 Rose Glen Road, Port Hope, and recorded and uploaded to the HKPR District Health Unit’s YouTube Channel.

Items on the Board of Health meeting agenda include:

• Business Arising: Update on enforcement of the Immunization of School Pupils Act.
• New Business: Unaudited Operating Statements
• New Business: Dr. Kieran Moore, Chief Medical Officer of Health, and Liz Walker Executive Lead, Office of the Medical Officer of Health, will be joining virtually to take questions from the Board of Health regarding voluntary mergers of health units.

How to Attend
Members of the media and community are welcome to view the recorded meeting by accessing our YouTube Channel. However, most of this meeting will be held in-camera session due to confidential information being shared related to the Feasibility Assessment Report in respect to the voluntary public health unit merger.
