Providing open and accountable information in accordance with the Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 

PORT HOPE, ON (March 29, 2023) – In accordance with the Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 (PSSDA), the Haliburton, Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit (HKPR District Health Unit) is required to publish the name, position, salary and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year. 

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31st each year, the names, positions, salaries, and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year. 

“With the leadership support of the Board of Health, the unwavering support of many agencies and community partners; the HKPR District Health Unit staff support the health of the communities in the districts we serve with great intensity and dedication,” said David Marshall, Board of Health Chair with the HKPR District Health Unit. “Staff at all levels have powered through the COVID-19 pandemic response, amongst other endeavors and we thank them for their continued hard work.” The 2022 salary disclosure details for 24 HKPR District Health Unit employees subject of the PSSDA, as compared to 27 in 2021, and 17 in 2020, can be found online by visiting Public sector salary disclosure | ontario.ca.
