The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit (referred to as HKPR from this point forward) serves communities in Northumberland County, Haliburton County, and the City of Kawartha Lakes.  While HKPR’s head office is located in Port Hope, offices are also located in Haliburton, and Lindsay.   

HKPR is committed to fostering a culture of trust, engagement, accountability, and leadership. Our Health Unit has 5 divisions, which include Office of the Medical Officer of Health,  

Corporate Services, Foundational Standards, Health Promotion, and Health Protection. As a team, staff work together to keep our communities safe and healthy by preventing illness, protecting against disease and promoting healthy lifestyles.

    The Administrative Assistant will be an integral member of program team as assigned. Will assist program staff with the organization and administration of program activities and provide administrative support in an efficient and courteous manner, ensuring confidentiality at all times.

    Tobacco Student Test Shopper – Health Promotion Division

    The Tobacco Student Test Shopper is accountable to Health Promotion Division Management for assisting the Tobacco Control Officers (TCO) during tobacco vendor enforcement checks/inspections in accordance with the Tobacco, Vapour and Smoke Protocol (as current).
