Interested in local influenza trends?Our Respiratory Diseases Dashboard is conveniently separated into three sections: Overview, COVID-19 Activity, and Influenza Activity. The dashboard provides localized epidemiological information on COVID-19 activity including daily case counts, hospitalizations, ICU admissions and deaths, outbreaks, and laboratory testing, but will also include a detailed overall summary of the respiratory season that also includes influenza information. |

Canada has seen substantially elevated numbers of opioid-related deaths since surveillance began in 2016.Our Opioid Overdose Report provides local opioid overdose information and is based on data provided by police services, paramedic services, ACES, Ministry of Health, and Public Health Ontario. The report provides localized overdose activity including monthly number of suspected and confirmed overdose related emergency department visits, number of unintentional deaths and type of opioids involved, historical data and the incidence rate of Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome. We update our Opioid Overdose Report every Wednesday. Currently showing outcomes for November 26 - December 2, 2023. |

Food insecurity is bad for health and is a serious social and public health problem in Canada.Food insecurity refers to not having enough food or worrying there is not enough to eat because of a lack of money. Every year, the Health Unit reviews the cost of a specific set of food items and measures them against income and the cost of rent to show how different incomes can affect healthy eating. |
