September 19, 2023 – This fall the HKPR District Health Unit is teaming up again with participating veterinarians throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes, County of Haliburton and Northumberland County to provide Reduced-Cost Rabies Vaccination Clinics so more dogs and cats can be protected.

August 29, 2023 – The HKPR District Health Unit and Peterborough Public Health have partnered to deliver the Nurse-Family Partnership Program, an evidence-based home visiting service that ensures young expecting parents receive personal support during pregnancy and after the child is born up to two years of age.
