April 22, 2024 –The HKPR District Health Unit would like to inform the community that second notices are being issued to parents/guardians to remind them to update their child's immunization records with the Health Unit to avoid suspension in May.

April 16, 2024 - The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge, District Health Unit (HKPR District Health Unit) would like to advise media and the community of an upcoming Board of Health meeting scheduled for Thursday, April 18, at 9:30 a.m.

April 16, 2024 – The HKPR District Health Unit would like to remind parents and guardians to ensure their children’s immunizations are up to date and on file with the local health unit, after being notified of confirmed cases of pertussis, also known as whooping cough, in the City of Kawartha Lakes. 

April 8, 2024 - The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit (HKPR District Health Unit) is issuing an alert due to a notable increase in suspected opioid drug poisonings in the City of Kawartha Lakes and Northumberland County. 

March 27, 2024 – Warmer weather is coming, and the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit (HKPR District Health Unit) is urging residents to be vigilant against ticks and Lyme disease.

The Administrative Assistant will be an integral member of program team as assigned. Will assist program staff with the organization and administration of program activities and provide administrative support in an efficient and courteous manner, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
